Application of New Surface
Your new surface will be applied in a surface prep phase, a bonding and priming phase, and a topcoat phase. All of these phases may require several application steps. Much of this work must take place in a sealed room and be performed by trained personnel wearing protective equipment, and as such, you should never enter a room where a refinishing process is taking place unless escorted by a refinishing professional. Many of the products used are applied by special spray equipment, to ensure a beautiful, durable, and high gloss finish.
Upon completion, your Bathtub Refinishing Professional will remove his equipment and check the surface. Cure times for the products, also known as return-to-service times, may vary depending on the type of system used. Your Bathtub Refinishing Professional will discuss this with you ahead of time. Your bathtub will now look as shiny and beautiful as the day it was first installed. An anti-slip bath mat may be installed at this time if ordered. Bathroom surfaces will be unmasked, and a new bathtub caulk seam may be installed at this time. The plumbing and drain will be set for a return to service at this time. In one day, from start to finish, your bathtub will be transformed from an embarrassment to the centerpiece of your bathroom, with a new, high gloss, sparkling clean, and beautiful finish!
